Developing an Attitude Scale Toward Teaching as a Profession

Abstract

In this study, an Attitude Scale Toward Teaching (ASTT) was developed. The scale was constructed in two different forms: one was four point graded likert type and the other was five point graded likert type. In the trial form both scales had 38 items. As a result of the analysis 15 items which were not working properly were omitted. The final forms of the scale are composed of 23 items each. Reliability and validity evidence was obtained for ASTT.
