Abstract
The purpose of the study is to investigate the effect of two different types of text organization of the same expository text on primary school pupils' text processing skills. For the study, the same expository text was constructed in two different types of organization; the first one being organized by object, the second one by aspect. 39 5th grade pupils were assigned to the object organization group and 44 to the aspect organization. The pupils' recall protocols showed a significant difference between the recall scores of the object organization group and those of the aspect organization group.
