An Investigation of the Attitudes of Mathematics Teacher Trainees Toward the Teaching Profession

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to investigate attitudes toward teaching as a profession displayed by mathematics teacher trainees from the point of view some variables. The research is restricted with the 1st and 4th-year students from K.K.Education Faculty and Science and Art Faculty, Atatürk University. According to the statistical analysis, the attitudes toward teaching as a profession displayed by mathematics teacher trainees have not showed any significant variability from the view point of sexuality, whereas some differences have been observed from the viewpoints of grade and faculty.
