Abstract

This aim of this study is to determine the extent of the contribution of their inspections to the culture of organizations in public high school teachers' opinions based on feedback gathered during the inspection. For this purpose, a questionnaire was applied to 285 high school teachers working in Istanbul during the 2001-2002 academic year. The 26-item questionnaire was answered on a 5-point Likert scale, which was developed from a definition of five disciplines comprising “learning organizations” as stated by Senge. The teachers were chosen from a random sample. The reliability of the questionnaire items was determined to be ,93 (Cronbach Alpha). The SPSS packet program was used to analyze the data. Teachers’ opinions were analysed in terms of “intellectual model, personality motivation, shared vision, thinking system and team development”. The result of the study shows that there are meaningful differences between teachers’ professional experience and graduation level in the sub- dimensions of the factors.
